ONE WEEK! (Wine Trolley and Other Updates) (+ Addendum)

2019 July 16 ADDENDUM — Q&A:

  1. Q. Are the festivities occurring primarily indoors or outdoors? A. The celebration will be happening outdoors, primarily on lawns. Tree shade during the (on the shorter side) ceremony will be less available, but all other areas are comfortably shaded.

  2. Q. What’s with this ‘dress code’ business? A. Probably a little too formal of a term! Let’s instead call this “suggested attire.” Here’s a couple of links: Garden party attire??, “Garden attire”. Basically, while we are suggesting things like floral dresses and lighter colored suits and shirts, honestly anything in the cocktail attire family would be lovely. The key is, NOT formal or black tie.

  3. Q. Can I come to the get-together on Friday? A. Whoever you are — yes! This event is open to anyone who happens to be in town on that day.

ORIGINAL POST:

Wouldn't you know it, 2019 is half gone and zero-hour is just around the corner. We are beyond thrilled that the day is almost here. Friends! Merriment! Catharsis!

We have a few updates.

  1. We wanted to bring everyone's attention to the Trolley Wine Tour! The day of the wedding, the same trolley that will be providing transportation from Medford to Lithia Springs Resort will be hosting a tour of the Ashland, Applegate, Bear Creek and Rogue Valley Wineries earlier in the day: 4 hours for $79 a person. For those of you without plans before the wedding, what better way to get the celebration started early! Please note that a minimum of guests will need to be booked for the tour to take place, and that the cutoff date is Wednesday July 17th. Please call Kari at 541-821-4593 by July 17th, and mention that you'd like to do the 11AM-3PM wine tour with the Ives/Nolan Wedding.

  2. As a reminder, the aforementioned trolley will be making the rounds between the four hotels listed on our website and Lithia Springs Resort starting at 3PM. The driver will call for passengers at each hotel lobby. Please remember that the ceremony will start at 5PM and that the trolley ride takes between 20-30 minutes.

  3. An update on Friday evening activies: We will be hosting a potluck-style cookout at the Ives family Airbnb (1505 Tolman Creek Rd, Ashland, OR 97520) starting at 6PM. We will provide some food and drink, but please do bring beers, snacks, and anything you'd like to throw on the grill!

  4. An update on the afterparty: We picked out a place to migrate once Lithia Springs Resort goes all pumpkin on us at 10PM on Saturday. For anyone looking to continue spending time together, Tally Ho Lounge (what a name huh?) in Talent, OR will be the place to meet! The trolley will be available for transportation from Lithia Springs to Tally Ho Lounge, but ends service at 11PM.

  5. Thanks to those letting us know about hotel block cancellations. In our attempt to accommodate for varying budgets we booked blocks at a larger number of hotels than usual, and not all of these blocks ended up being utilized. While the blocks may not exist by name anymore, a recent search for rooms at any of the hotels we recommended still reveals decent rates. For anyone wondering, the majority of hotel bookings (including our own) have been at Towneplace Suites.

  6. We've had a few questions regarding dress code. For this event we're requesting Garden Attire! Wear "sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats and fascinators". As a reminder, this and other helpful information can be found anytime at the appropriate page on this site. For anyone that may have missed it, our lovely engagement photos can be found here too!

  7. Y'all are great. We can't wait to celebrate with each and every one of you.
